IHS White Paper: Increase Business Success in Mexico
The results of World Bank’s data collection and analyses of businesses worldwide show that, Mexico’s overall status business fluidity has annually risen within the ranks. Manufactured exports are crucial to the Mexican economy, contributing to 30 percent of the GDP.
A key to a healthy manufacturing and export-based economy is the production of quality product on a consistent basis. Implementation of standards develop processes resulting in consistent, quality production, as well as provides businesses a basis to support claims of quality. The standards applicable to products marketed in Mexico fall under the Secretaria de Comercio y Formento Industrial (SECOFI) through the Direction General de Normas (DGN).
